Display lines between issue dependencies similar to the Advanced Roadmaps Cloud version

    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

A screenshot from Advanced Roadmaps Cloud version displays lines between issue dependencies the example below:

On the Server version, we have the Dependencies Map early access feature, although it would be good to display the lines on the Roadmap tab similar to the Cloud version.

Hey there, is there a chance to finally add this? It’s a total game-changer, and currently, it's so limiting without it. Any updates on this so far?

Can we have an update on this item? Showing dependencies on a plan is basic functionality and renders the roadmap useless without it

What a disappointment not to have this sizing feature on the Data Center version.

I still can't believe it. Please put this feature on high priority

Is this not available in the server version yet? How long is this going to take to get an answer about it?

I have to say that without this capability Advances Roadmaps is truly limited, bordering the uselessness.

Any similar tool that I've ever seen shows dependencies in a visual way, it is a basic feature.

Atlassian, please do tell us what is the current thinking, as without it we may need to find another tool

Our community is highly interested in this capability too, it would be great if this becomes available for Data Centre customers.

This is a very highly demanded feature in Jira Data Center. Please Prioritise this Enhancement for the benefit of thousands of your customers. Since you already have it in Jira Cloud, should not be too big a deal for Atlassian to back port the enhancement in DC.

Would really love this feature on Jira Server version. It's the one missing piece for our project management.

At Dedalus Healthcare, we are evaluating Advanced Roadmaps to support planning and managing dependencies between multiple teams working on multiple products. (We run Jira on premise, v8.20.15).

During roadmap grooming with a bigger number of product owners and managers, the good visualization of said dependencies on large boards with a lot of content is paramount.

We consider its lack a big deficit.

Gotta add myself to the discussion. I would vote for this as well. Having Dependency Report is OK as a separate view but I find it very difficult to visually track and adjust tasks according to the dependency. I mean, why leaving it out on the Data Center version? And this is dragging from 2021? Now I have producers asking me to switch to other software packs and platforms which have that feature by default and I cannot simply ignore them. However, switching over several hundred (almost 1k) users to the new system is painful process, I would like to keep working in Data Center but please work and enable simple things like this.

Having used this both cloud and now Datacenter, I feel this feature should be classified as a usability issue. It takes significantly longer to create and map dependencies using the ± search picker than the drag and drop line links.

this brings better visibility for planners. Having to move between the dependencies tab and the actual plan doesnt help
