Two Dimensional Filter Statistics gadget doesn't display all custom fields with same name

      Problem

      "Two Dimensional Filter Statistics" gadget recognises only one customfield if there are multiple custom fields with same name.

      Environment

      8.20.8, 8.22.1

      Steps to Reproduce

      • Add two customfields of same name (Team1), one of type single select and one group picker
      • Add to the project
      • Create a Dashboard
      • Add the "Two Dimensional Filter Statistics" gadget
      • Try to search for Team1 field, only one appears

      Expected Results

      both the custom fields should appear

      Actual Results

      Only one field appears

       

      Workaround

      Rename one of the custom fields

            Confirmed in Jira Software Data Center 8.20.10
            Looks like the custom field that is offered is the one with the lowest custom field id?
            I'd recommend renaming one the fields, as suggested, but I know that is a pain if it breaks many saved filters, and other gadgets that use that field name, and quick filters in agile boards etc

            I seem to recall that the storage of the selected custom fields for this gadget type uses the custom field names instead of the custom field ids. Which would explain why only one of the fields is offered
