Jira has mostly used the system workflow to make use of "Status". Epics, however, make use of a special "Epic Status" field that is used for various functions. These rely on the state of the Epic, such as being in the "Done" state or not.

This results in confusion when Epics are not appearing when expected to.

• One thing lacking from this documentation is how to re-open an Epic once it had been marked as done.
