I am creating this feature request as JSWSERVER-12016 was closed without providing an actual solution to the problem. In an organisation that has hundreds of projects, the number of epics gets large. When I create an issue in my project, I would like to only see the epics and sprints in my project. I understand that other users may have a need to manage epics at a cross project level, but I should still be able to configure my project or my board to show me only the stuff I want to see at issue creation time. I currently have to create issues and than use drag and drop in the backlog view to assign them to epics and sprints. This makes creating issues in Jira a bit of a pain.

Same here. It causes some many confusions when the number of projects and epics are getting huge.

It seems like this has been an issue for quite some time. Can you please let us know if and when you plan to address this issue?

            Thank you.

Hi! Please, take this into work. Setting an Epic Link for one ticket on our server takes ~40 seconds, which is frustrating in case of dozens of tickets. This affects sprint planning meetings.

See also tickets logged for the same issue JSWSERVER-12016 and JSWSERVER-16358. Solution has still not been provided.

This also poses a risk of confidential information being added to another clients project

This could potentially have a negative impact where stories get assigned to wrong epics accidentally. Is there a way to limit the default search to just the current project and open it up if the specific key was typed in for another project?

Please implement the fix as this is  still not working in Jira Server 7.13.0.

Please fix, sometimes issues get lost when new users choose an epic from a different project.

I would like to receive the status on this story. I dont want to see epics from other projects.

Finding it difficult to handle as some of our epics are similar and developers are not able to identify the difference between the epics.

            Regards
