JIRA Software Boards to follow the Screen Schemes

Problem Definition:

At the moment, to change the fields to be shown in Boards "Issue Detail View" is through the Board Configuration below:

• Configuring the issue detail view

It is a separate configuration with JIRA own Screen Scheme and changing the Fields in the Screen Scheme would not reflect the fields in the board. This can be confusing as when the Admin making changes to the fields there will be an expectation that it will change globally and yet the field is still showing in the board that is referring to a project that is using the same screen scheme.

Suggested Solution:

To have JIRA Software Board to follows the configuration in the Screen Schemes or at least to have an option for the board admin whether to follow it.
