We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.
This request relates to JSWSERVER-4669, we would like to look at the Epics that are related to the same Initiative.

[JSWSERVER-16300] Swimlane on Kanban Board by Initiative
+1 that would be most useful for both Kanban and Scrum boards
The company I am at has Jira Premium and we use the new hierarchy levels, but their use on the team level is limited by the absence of this feature. Adding it would improve greatly the ways teams can visualize their work.
I somehow persuaded the managers to pay for premium (>100 users) just to realize then that after making the new hierachy with initiatives and themes, there's no way to improve our existing epic dashboard and use initiative, or any above-epic level as swimlanes.
Honnestly, I don't understand why it's not possible already.
Please add this feature
Thanks
Why have them available as a 'higher' up than epic, but can't group by them?
We'd like this too, having one board for our team with swim-lanes of projects (Initiatives) that can be managed from a high level in Advanced Roadmap
We really need to bump up the level of issue hierarchy for Kanban and Timelines. Please make this happen.
+3 Our team was just looking for this capability today. Would be wonderful to have in both Sprint and Kanban Boards. Hope it wouldn't be a big change to add this.
We have a multi-tier hierarchy. I would love swim lanes based on Inits, or even better would be a generic swim lanes based on [user chooses issue type].
So if you have some hierarchy, Story < Epic < BigThing < BiggerThing < BiggestThing, then the user could choose swim lanes based on Epics, BigThings, BiggerThings, or BiggestThings.
Slow process to be taken into consideration, this is the main reason our Org migrated to ADO.
Please, please put this on your Roadmap. Working with multiple projects in multiple Jiras on one "Initiative" would make this much more easier to administer instead of poking around and get the queries organized. I think, you know what I mean
Really appreciate it. This would allow to have a big picture on the status of the current initiatives and the requirements statuses in a quick sight
Please work on this item as soon as you can. We at DXC are working on Agile transformation and in order to have a better organization and reporting information, we need to have things aligned correctly.
This issue relates to the core problem of Portfolio for Jira. There's no way to display high-level initiatives to leadership without noise and complexity. It's not feasible to expect an executive outside of IT to be able to read and understand the information displayed within Portfolio. A Jira board displaying swimlanes based on parent issue would allow for the simplicity of Kanban to show the steps to complete a major initiative.
I would say rather than just swimlanes, adding a initiative panel like the epic/version panels in the backlog would be immensely helpful.
This is a very key piece of functionality. It's an absolute nightmare having a board with different work items all over the place, not showing under their actual parent. The absence of this basically renders the hierarchy functionality on boards useless.
Please, please add this functionality ASAP.
would love to see this implemented. We are not able to leverage any of the portfolio level objects ( initiatives, themes, etc) via kanban swimlanes
Please add this
