            Hi all,

The issue was fixed and the patch is now waiting to be released. It will be available soon in all the current major release lines: 7.13, 8.5. and the upcoming 8.6. Please see the Fix Version/s field for more details.

Thank you all for providing your feedback about the problem over the years - we should have realised that fixing this impactful bug is trivial and reacted accordingly way earlier.

Three years and no resolution to merely alphabetize the 'Sprint Health Gadget' Board drop-down list? What's your average issue completion time/cost to complete?

Agree. This is really frustrating when you have to scroll through thousands of possible values. Should be addressed on priority as it is basic development step, which should have been taken care of in the first place.

Does Atlassian understand how this creates a very abrasive environment between us Jira administrators and the users we support?  We have 1000+ projects so you can imagine how many boards we have and how frustrating this is to those who have to painstakingly scroll through an un-ordered list to find the relevant board?

Dropdown options are sorting by its ID rather name. Its a 2 min code change. Do you need 2 years time to decide weather to fix it or not?

Good luck if you get anyone to pay attention to this, as it appears lowest in the priority order when it's probably the simplest of fixes. You'd imagine they'd solve this if they had the desire for user adoption in mind.

This issue impacts us a lot, it is hard to find a board from a long boards list.

            +1

How can this be 'low' priority?  In a large enterprise many teams and boards are seeing this problem. If someone shows any patience then setting up this gadget takes anything from 30-45 minutes of very painful search by clicking through each project title.  I see this on 'Days remaining' & 'Sprint Health' gadget, both being useful to any team wanting to take a snapshot view of how they are progressing and what is the window of time they have so they can adapt by making a decision.

This is indeed very painful, imagine in a large corp with thousands of boards, it would be impossible to find the right board.  It would be easy to fix with alpha order, and for the Severity I would change it to major. Thanks.
