Export SprintID along with friendly Sprint name

    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      In our environment, it's possible that there could be thousands of "Sprint 1" sprints. Users are wishing to include the unique sprintID as an exportable column so that they can use that data in an Excel spreadsheet export of results. Currently, if you search for a SprintID it will resolve to the friendly name. This is great, and very useful. But there are times when retrieving the unique sprintID would be helpful. Exporting, for these users. But also when trying to find errant issue association to a sprint via the sprintID so that we know what sprint to provide in a bulk edit. Currently, you can find it but you have to hover over links and things and that's not terribly intuitive for some users.

            Thank you for raising this suggestion. We regret to inform you that due to limited demand, we have no plans to implement it in the foreseeable future. In order to set expectations, we're closing this request now. Sometimes potentially valuable tickets do get closed where the Summary or Description has not caught the attention of the community. If you feel that this suggestion is valuable, consider describing in more detail or outlining how this request will help you achieve your goals. We may then be able to provide better guidance.

            Sprint ID can be exported to Excel via a calculated field using the Better Excel Plugin. An alternative is to prefix the sprint name with the ID like "[10123] Whatever sprint", which is also doable. 
            Ask us if interested, as I don't want to post long technical details here.
