Ability to export the Sprint reports into a common format

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

As an agile board user, I would like to export the reports into a common format to show my product owner, who doesn't have access to my JIRA, so that he/she can see the sprint progress.

It would be extremely useful to be able to export the many great JIRA Software reports into at least one common format (e.g. PDF, excel, etc.). Our project's product owner is not local to us at all and cannot access out JIRA instance on our closed network. The only means we have of doing this currently is via a browser "Print or "Print Screen". Both of these solutions require major browser window formatting in order to work and have it appear barely readable.

What is the estimated timeline for developing this functionality?

I think Jira should provide a save Report and export feature for all the out of the box Reports, for example I configured  the OOTB Created Vs Resolved Issues Report, to obtain data I would find useful for my team.

I was disappointed to discover I had no options to Save the Report or export to PDF etc, only option was Configure.

Means need to use browser Print functionality and will need to configure Report each time.

I think this would be a very useful feature.

This is a HUGE requirement and I'm honestly surprised it doesn't come out of the box. REALLY need this feature. Currently doing manual hand-jam reporting which takes me way longer than it should. Thank you!

            Hi Everyone,

Better PDF Exporter for Jira Cloud fulfills your need to create simple issue exports or complex reports in PDF. Instead of waiting for Atlassian, export now a sprint report (right from the agile board!), your backlog, Jira Service Management tickets, Zephyr tests, or Tempo Timesheets report!

+1 on the whole thread, an easy and more efficient way to export would be greatly appreciated.

Same reason as most people above, need to be able to share sprint report with people not using JIRA so export to PDF/xls would be extremely helpful.

I also have high pressure from top Managers to see Burndown charts results and datas in the global project Mgt tool (Wave).

Thee is no way we can send picture of the results.

I'm doing it manualy, Sql would be good, Integrated function should be the best.

We have high level managers who do not use JIRA and are not involved in software development in any capacity. Allowing them to view reports in PDF would greatly help their understanding of our progress. Thanks!

This would be a great feature. We effectively have several departments across the business who in turn feed requests from their staff - almost as if they are acting product owners in their own right.

Regularly, they have requested a summary of where their own department is (e.g. manufacturing) in terms of tasks being in progress, or due for testing or blocked through lack of detail.

Currently, it's a bit cumbersome to collate this information. Being able to export them would be a definite time saver.

I agree with Tommi, We need a way to create a report for all of our teams based on the sprint data in JIRA.

I hope this gets done soon.

As much as I would like everyone from our service to monitor Jira, it's not going to happen. Because of this would be great to automatically send a sprint report to a predefined group of people, when sprint is ended. Now it's a bother for someone to have to manually go scrape information from sprint report and send an email about what's been accomplished. It's such a simple repeatable task, it should be automated.

For my use case I'm just looking to get the list of issues in a format like the Release Notes page has for the Scrum Report. Being able to specify the template similarly would be nice. The idea is that the list would just include the issues that were completed and not completed during the sprint.

I find it bizarre in the extreme that JIRA includes a so-called 'reporting' function with no export capability whatsoever - I have to send the report to a PDF virtual printer whcih normally makes a complete hash of the graph formatting in the conversion. I would have thought that an export compatibility with Excel and Word would be an absolute minimum together with an export to PDF capability. It wouldn't be so bad if the gadgets existed to rebuild the report in Confluence, but I can't see a way to do this. Extremely frustrating and a huge oversight in not providing what should be the most basic of requirements - the ability to report data from a system - as if nobody saw that one coming....?!

I'm a Cloud user. I have a hacky workaround for this – just hide the elements you don't want to show using Inspect Element in Chrome and Print > Save to PDF.

I would like to see this feature added where do not have to script out the template. I am just looking for simple feature that I can click to export to a PDF file or any other type of common format.

You should try the PDF View Plugin to generate PDF reports. (It has a simplistic burn-down plus velocity report template, which you could customize to your needs.)

Albeit there is some customization work involved in getting that exact report that you need, here is a tip which would make this a compelling option. Your question suggests that you are required to deliver these reports periodically. If so, you should set up an automation rule which would render the report template and email the results, according to the desired schedule. Hi,

I just checked and from Chrome all of the Reports in the reports section of GreenHopper seem to Print Preview OK. You might like to try printing them to a PDF writer then sending that to your PO.

            Thanks,
            Shaun
