The version view now has a new Section that you can add information to. At this point, none of the endpoints listed here offer the possibility to modify such. On top of that, for the time being, the https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/rest/v3/api-group-project-versions/#api-group-project-versions endpoint only allows pulling the information about the "Driver" and "Approvers".

Suggestion
Please add the possibility to alter the "Section" part of the project release via the API, along with "Driver" and "Approvers".
