Issue Summary
The introduction of the feature Enhanced Jira board and backlog will only allow the addition of a Epic in the same project when using the "Add Parent" option
Steps to Reproduce
- Create two projects
- Create an epic in two different projects
- Enable Enhanced Jira board and backlog on a company-managed board
- Create a standard issue type in one of the projects
- Right click the issue and select "Add Parent"
Expected Results
Epics from both projects are visible and can be selected for cross-project Epic association
Actual Results
Only Epics from the Child Issues project can be selected and you cannot manually search for the epic in the alternate project
Workaround
1. You can disable the "Enhanced Jira board and backlog" feature to return to the classic view:
2. OR you can Ignore the "Add Parent" option and add the "Epic Link" Field to your issue view, and assign parent issues using the field, Noting the option to "Add parent" will still be visible with this behavior and may confuse end users, but the classic functionality directly in the field will still operate as normal when the new feature is enabled.
