Issue Summary
If the default assignee is set to Project lead and the project lead is no longer associated with the Jira cloud site, the creation of new Jira issues via the project backlog (inline create) fails with the error "Something's gone wrong". The issue occurs only in team-managed projects.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a team managed software project
- Change the default assignee of the project to the Project lead.
- Revoke site access of the project lead
- Try to create a new issue from the Team-managed project backlog.
Expected Results
The following error message is seen on the screen:
The default assignee (project lead) is non-existent and hence an active user should be configured as project lead.
Actual Results
The following error message is seen on the screen:
Something's gone wrong
Workaround
To resolve the issue, assign an active user as project lead in order to ensure new Jira tickets are created as expected in the project
