Changing issue type from sub-task to Story removes issue from sprint report, but sprint field is still populated

XMLWordPrintable

      Issue Summary

When a subtask is changed to a Story (and that subtask was in a sprint), the issue (which is now a Story) does not show in the Sprint Report. The sprint field in the Story still shows the sprint, and the change of the issue type (as well as the removal from the sprint) is documented in the issue history.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Add a Task with a Sub-task to a sprint
      2. Start sprint
      3. Check sprint report - Sub-task will be included
      4. Change the sub-task issue type to Story
      5. Check sprint report (issue number will no longer be listed)
      6. Check sprint field on sub-task, sprint field will still be populated
      7. Check issue history, it shows the issue type change from sub-task to Story, as well as the removal from the sprint

      Expected Results

Either when the sub-task changes to a story, the issue is completely removed from the sprint or is completely retained in the sprint (and visible in the sprint report)

      Actual Results

Sub-task changed to Story and is no longer shown in the sprint report, and the sprint field in the Story is populated with the sprint

      Workaround

Remove the sprint from the sprint field in the Story, and re-add the sprint. This will cause the Story to show in the sprint report.
