Problem

In some cases, the status of the repo sync shows a failed status despite being synced correctly in the background.

Environment

Jira Cloud

Steps to Reproduce

• Go to the DVCS Accounts page
• Link Jira Cloud to Github
• Sync repositories.

Expected Results

All repositories should be synced correctly, showing the last activity of the repositories on the DVCS Accounts page.

Actual Results

For some reason, DVCS sometimes internally fails to transition the state of the repository from "in sync" to "sync was successfully finished". So it shows an error on the DVCS admin page.

• Even though the repositories seemed to be failed on the DVCS admin page, they are actually being synched
• The commit messages, and pull requests for linking repositories to projects are visible in Jira.

No known workaround.

Notes

Review issues on projects related to some commits to confirm if it's syncing in the background. If they are, kindly ignore the message on DVCS page while this bug is still open. Otherwise, troubleshoot.
