Thank you for raising this bug and bringing it to our attention.

Within our company roadmap and work capacity, we try to address or review each bug request but admit that not each one will be resolved.

To continue the culture of being honest and open, we are closing this bug to focus on our upcoming roadmap for all Jira users.

I don't see the above issue but myself and others are experiencing https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-questions/I-cannot-edit-and-rename-a-sprint/qaq-p/1610441 related to renaming a sprint. 

This is as bad as misspelling your product name in the header.  Both are minor, cosmetic problems.  But I think you'd stop everything to hotfix the misspelling.  Now here you are FORCING everyone to use the new issue view while it has basic, simple, fundamental bugs.  To the Product Owner, I say - this is not a trivial defect.  This is a permanent stain on your product, and your PO work, if March rolls around and this still exists.

For me, this occurs when executing the following steps:

1. Navigate to any project
2. View the project's backlog
3. Refresh the page
4. Edit a sprint and change its name
5. Click "Update"

The name of the sprint shown in the backlog view should be updated; however, it still shows the old name. You have to refresh the page to see the updated name.

We can work around the issue by:
1. Navigate to a different page/view (i.e. active sprint board)
2. Refresh the page
3. Navigate back to the backlog view and update a sprint

After this, the updates appear instantly.
