Is there a blocker for this. This is a bad UX even without gathering a lot of interest. I waste so much time correcting formatting issues due to extra lines added every day.

            Please fix this.

Always get a double space between lines, nothing changed for me.

It is for me, in Jira Cloud.

Here is an example, cursor is two spaces down with one carriage return:

(edit: cannot attach images, my apologies)

Is this still an issue with the new create form?  I can't seem to replicate it today.

Double-line spacing is the exceptional need, not the rule.

We started with Jira en this waste of screen space is really annoying me. I cannot understand why this is not solved yet. If I work on my laptop I have to scroll like hell.

Please, please, please fix this! Having to shift+enter for every single line makes the already-tedious job of creating tickets even more tedious.

Fixing this would be great! I kind of don't even get why it does this in the first place

Double spacing (+non-markdown ability) drives me nuts so have always reverted to using the old view...now that's getting binned. Please remove the auto-line space as its hideous when having to make lists of things. Make them twice as long! If folk want an extra line between lists or whatever, they just have to tap enter again, simple and flexible. Terribly thought-out UX.

Agreed, having to select Shift adds more time to UX. Baaaad design
