Unfortunately, in light of more urgent priorities, our team is not working on this feature anymore. We know this will disappoint many of you and is not the answer many of you were looking for. We’ll let you know when we are ready to begin work on it.
With the implementation of New issue view, the way the fields are ordered can be customized under project settings > Issue Layout.
When using a Classic project, you have a description Area in the Issue Layout page where you can configure fields to be placed under description, however, this same option is not available for Next-gen.
It would be great to have this option for Next-gen projects too.
