Issue Creation fails on Classic Board if trying to rank the issue on the creation screen

If a user has set the Rank Field as the ranking field for the Classic Board, and tries to create a new Issue via the New Card Dialog and gives the issue a Ranking (ie. before ISSUE-30) an error will be shown.

Error occurred while creating issue. This could be due to a plugin being incompatible with this version of JIRA. For more details please consult the logs, and see: http://confluence.atlassian.com/x/3McB: Failed to create Issue.

The logs will have the same message.
This does not happen if no ranking is selected and it defaults to last.

Workaround

• Disable the Ranking for the Classic Board
  or
• Create issues via JIRAs own Create Issue button, rather than the new Card button.
