Issue Summary
If the Default Language is set to a language that uses the Cyrillic Alphabet, upon creating a Software Project all Workflows Schemes and workflows names are created with Latin Alphabet. Upon trying to change it causes the UI not to respond.
This behavior is not seen when creating a Service Management Project, as all Workflows Schemes and Workflows names are created with Cyrillic characters as expected.
Steps to Reproduce
- We have installed a fresh Jira Service Management instance on versions 4.13.4, 4.14.1, and 4.15.0.
- Change the default language to Cyrillic.
- Create a Software Project and navigate to Workflows to check on which language their names are.
- Try to change workflow names to Cyrillic just to confirm if in the opposite way. An error is returned (screenshot attached).
- Attempting to edit workflow names to English causes the UI to be unresponsive and the workflow is not updated.
Expected Results
It is expected to be able to change Workflow names to latin English or any other language that use Latin Alphabet.
Actual Results
It is not possible to change Workflow names to any language that use Latin Alphabet. Attempting to edit the workflow name leads to unresponsiveness in the UI.
Workaround
There is no known workaround at this moment.
