Issue Summary
When the Request Type does not contain any Description, it will show correctly when viewed in the Customer Portal page without searching. However, when searching for the Request Type, the Description will be displayed as "No description", rather than a null/blank space.
The inconsistent behavior only occurs in Request Type without any Description set
Steps to Reproduce
- In a Service Desk Project, go to Project Settings > Request types
- Clear the Description for any Request Type, then update the changes
- Go to the Customer Portal and look for the Request Type without searching
- In the Customer Portal search bar, search for the Request Type
Expected Results
The Request Type description will be blank in the Customer Portal, even when searched
Actual Results
The Request Type description is set to "No description" when searched in the Customer Portal
Workaround
Insert a blank/invisible character in the Description, instead of leaving it empty/null
‎
Copy the character in the panel above (Double-click or highlight). Alternatively, visit http://emptycharacter.com/

Hi,
At Atlassian, our goal is to ensure we’re providing the best experience for our customers. With our new Data Center strategy, Atlassian's focus is on security, compliance, and performance and is a key driver in prioritizing bugs. Closing the bugs that do not fall into those categories will allow us to focus on the ones in the most current versions of our products.
This bug is being closed due to a lack of engagement in the last four years, including no new watchers, votes, or comments; this inactivity suggests a low impact.
We appreciate your time in submitting bugs to our product team and encourage you to continue doing so. Many features and functions in our products come from valued customers such as yourself. You can read more about our bug fix policy here and how we prioritize bugs.
