Description
Issue Summary
Custom automation rule with WHEN: "Approval required" will not work if approval was abandoned by transition other then Approve/Decline (for example, if there is "Back" transition in case user accidentally transition issue to Approval status) and when transitioned again to Approval.
Steps to Reproduce
- Â Set up new workflow with statuses 'Open', 'Approving', & 'To Do'.
- Create the following transitions:
Open -> Approving with the transition 'To approval'
Approving -> Open with the transition 'Back to Open'
Approving -> To Do with the transition 'Approve'
Approving -> Open with the transition 'Decline' - Set up approval in status 'Approving'
Approve by Approvers, Approve/Decline transitions - Remove condition "Issue transition will be blocked if there is pending approval.
" from 'Back to Open' transition. - Set up automation rule triggered by "Approval required" event (any action like comment or webhook).
- Transition issue from 'Open' to 'Approving'. (Automation Rule will work fine)
- Transition issue from 'Approving' to 'Open' using the transition 'Back to Open'
- Transition issue again to status 'Approving'.Â
