      The below documentation mentions that you only need to have the Administer Projects permission of a particular project to be able to set the incoming email channel

        • Make sure you have the Administer Projects permission.

      • Also quoting the below
        • If you are a JIRA Administrator, you can refer to Managing the email channel to learn more about global mail settings.

        • This suggests that you can perform the tasks if you are not JIRA Administrator

      However, you actually need the JIRA Administrator permission to be able to set this up. Here is a screenshot when logged in with Administer Project permission, but not the JIRA Administrator permission

      Suggestion

      Correct the documentation, clearly stating the required permissions needed to perform this tasks (and others)
