In another issue, jgarratt commented:
Instead of marking required fields on request forms, we mark optional fields as Optional. This was a deliberate design decision. Our research indicates that it is more common to use required fields for customer requests, so marking optional fields adds less information to the form.
This is quite opposite to our needs. Most of our fields are optional, and having the additional (Optional) text on nearly every field is somewhat jarring.
It would be better if this were configurable; we would prefer to mark required fields.
