We use Jira Service Desk Cloud to provide support for our software product which is used by multiple external companies. Currently when users report an issue they have to type in their phone number every time they report an issue since it is not associated with their user record. We would like to propose to:
- Allow Custom fields to be added to the Jira and JSD user account (Phone number, Company, etc)
- Allow the above Custom fields to be updated from JSD Sign Up form
The first time user goes to our JSD Customer Portal he would be presented with a login form which would include Phone Number and a drop down of supported external companies. After user provides this information once at sign up he would not have to provide it again during subsequent interactions with the system. We will be able to contact the user and manage users more effectively.
