A required checkbox question in the form builder will require all options for that question to be selected in order to submit the form

      Issue Summary

      This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes) / (no)

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Go to the JSM form builder
      2. Create a form with a checkbox question and add some options
      3. Set the question as required 
      4. Add that form to a request type
      5. Create a request with that type on the portal create request screen
      6. All options on the form need to be checked to allow submission

      Expected Results

      User should not have to check all options to submit the form

      Actual Results

      User sees validation error for the check box question.

      Workaround

      The JSM agent can open the form for customer edits. The reporter can submit the form from the portal view screen without having to check all the boxes.

            Hi, 

            +1 from our side. As a workaround we disabled the "Response Required" checkbox and used workflow validator "Field Required Validatot" on Create transition. This is not perfect as there is no asterisk by the field name and the error when field is empty is not field specific. But, in general, the functionality works as expected.

            On our instance the forms went back to normal.

            Very annoying problem for all our users. We also disabled the "Response Required" validation checkbox in all our forms to avoid blocking ticket creation. We need a quick fix.

            As a workaround, I disabled the "Response Required" validation checkbox in the form, saved the changes, re-enabled the option, and saved it again. This resolved the issue, and the portal now works as expected. However, I’ve only applied this fix to one field in one form. I’m not sure which other forms may require similar modifications. Therefore, addressing the root cause of the issue is essential.

            Hello, how can this be classified as Low priority? Users are unable to create tickets on the portal due to this issue that has suddenly arisen.

            We are also affected with this bug and users have reported it this morning.

            Implemented workaround: checkbox replaced with a radio button. 

            But there might be other forms with checklist field where nobody reported it yet.

            Hopefully it will be resolved soon.

            Many of our customers are impacted by this and can't create tickets on the customer portal anymore.

            Hopefully this is a very quick fix. Thanks team!

            We have some important JSM forms supporting essential business processes across various different JSM portals in our instance, that are utilised by staff all over our organisation. This issue was preventing staff from submitting the impacted forms which previously had a checkbox field which required a mandatory answer (but certainly not ALL options being selected!), hence holding up their necessary business processes and requests. 

            This Admin will be very relieved once this is fixed.

            Thank you for creating the bug. However, I noticed that the priority and severity assigned to this issue are quite low. I must disagree with this assessment, as approximately half of our request forms on the customer portal are currently not functioning as intended.

            This issue is significantly impacting our customers' ability to submit requests and is causing major disruptions to our operations. We believe this warrants a higher priority and severity level for resolution.

            I would greatly appreciate it if you could re-evaluate the priority of this issue and ensure it receives the attention it requires.
