      Problem Definition

Automation cannot change the request type of an issue if the original request type is not mapped to the same issue type for the new request type.

      Suggested Solution

Allow automation change both the request type and issue type of an issue.

      Why this is important

This allows automation to work seamlessly as email requests might require different issue types than what admins need to automate.

      Workaround

Use the same issue type for the original and new request type.

            Good day,

"This allows automation to work seamlessly as email requests might require different issue types than what admins need to automate."

I would just like to say, this is for that reason, of utmost importance.

I have multiple Projects in which this Automation would make sense. This is a very harsh limitation.

I use one Application (IAM) for a bunch of On- and Offboarding proccesses, the moment a 2nd application, such as SAP or whatever (for us the count is about 10-15) send an Email, that is almost in every case a different request type.

And for that, there is no workaround.

            Hope this gets done.
