Update as of 17th March 2021

      Hey all,

We are strategically looking at this issue, and the broader Customer Management story. We are working on the associated dependencies, and are planning on outcomes beginning after June 2021. I will update again as we pass through the mid-year planning cycle.

I am interested in learning more about organisations who are looking to synchronise customers via AD, and why they are not using Atlassian Access.

If this is you, let me know.

      Cheers,

      Ben

      Problem Definition

We have not found a way to integrated AD with JSD, to automatically add and sync all users of a specific security group.

Our understanding, from reading the documentation and from testing the service desk, is that currently customers have to "sign up", e.g. to create a new user, not integrated with AD and with a different password.

      Suggested Solution

We would like to be able to use a specific AD security group, even Domain Users, to add automatically users to the JSD customers group, and to let these users to use their AD credentials to login to JSD.

      Note

This is only for JIRA On-Demand. If you are using JIRA Server, then it's possible and please refer to JSD-4333.
