Kanban Board Issues : Inaccessible by keyboard and no conforming alternate

Issue Summary

The element is not accessible by keyboard alone and there is no conforming accessible version of the same functionality reachable from the non-conforming page.

Element 1: Release button

Location: Below Board combo box

Steps to Reproduce

1. Navigate to any project in Jira.
2. Navigate to the 'Kanban board' page.
3. Navigate to the 'Release' link present beside the "Done 0" text inside the main content.

Actual Results

When the user tries to navigate to the "Release" link which is present beside the "Done 0" text, the "Release" link doesn’t receive keyboard focus & does not get activated via keyboard alone. Thus this creates difficulty for the keyboard-only user and screen reader users to access the functionality.

Expected Results

• The "Release" link should receive keyboard focus & should get activated via keyboard enter/space keys.
• Use tabindex="0" to add an element that does not normally receive focus, into the navigation order when it is being used for interaction. Use scripting to capture and respond to keyboard events

Workaround

Currently, there is no known workaround for this behaviour. A workaround will be added here when available.
