Creating a linked issue while copying attachments leads to the error 'java.lang.ClassCastException: io.atlassian.fugue.Either$Right cannot be cast to com.atlassian.fugue.Either' to be shown in the screen.

  Atlassian Update – 16 Jul 2019 Hi everyone, This issue remains a top priority for the team. As Atlassian values openness, I would like to share more details of the current status. The initial estimate of the fix has taken longer than anticipated due to its implications and dependencies which we have discovered during development. In order to ensure its quality and prevent similar problems in the future, we have decided to go for a complete solution rather than a partial one and conduct an additional round of tests. While we believe the decision to prioritise quality over delivery time was the right one, we should have communicated it straight away. We apologise for the delay in getting this out to you, but we're looking to resolving this shortly in the following releases of the upcoming 8.3 and 8.4 lines.
