Problem Definition:

If we take a look at the installation steps of our documentation for Connect to your database section, it mentions that we need to download the Oracle JDBC Driver where it is already bundled with JIRA in JIRA Install/lib/ojdbcx.x. The step would be required for MySQL since it is not bundled but it should not be needed for Oracle.

This is mentioned in the documentation to install JIRA beside the Evaluation:

If we take a look at the documentation in connecting JIRA to Oracle below, this step is not included as well:

Suggested Solution:

• Remove Oracle from the section as the driver is bundled.
