Issue Summary
JIRA Project import page mentions that Service Desk Customer portal cannot be imported, however in reality, there are no Service Desk related component imported nor is there any mention of any bugs relating to project import for JIRA Service Desk listed.
Feature Request
Can the project import documentation clearly state what can be imported and what would not be imported for JIRA Service Desk when a user is performing a project import for a Service Desk project?
Adding to the above, can a list of known verified bugs relating to Project Import and Service Desk be added to the page so that customers are aware of things to look out for?
This would help avoid confusion.
Identify Known Bugs
To identify known bugs with the project import process for JIRA service desk, please consider doing the following:
- Go to https://jira.atlassian.com
- Go to the search issue page.
- Enter the following query to find a list of bugs that have been reported with regards project import
text ~ "project import" and project = "JIRA Server (including JIRA Core)" and issuetype = Bug and status not in (Resolved,Closed)
- You may want to remove the status section if you are looking to perform the project import on a version different from the latest because the fixed bugs would be automatically marked as resolved or closed.
