Description
Issue Summary
When a user is creating a new component in JIRA, if he accidentally types in a wrong user and presses add button, he would get the notification that he is attempting to add an invalid user.
Should the user correct himself at this point by typing in the username but not selecting it from the prompt and press add again, it would be expected that JIRA would update and give him the corrected user.
Steps to Reproduce
- Go to a project component page.
- Add a name and start typing an incorrect name in the user picker field for component lead.
- Press the add button.
- JIRA would prompt you that you are adding an invalid user.
- Modify the component lead field and type in fully the username of a valid user and do not select the name when prompted by the drop down.
- Press add.
Actual Result
Nothing happens and the invalid user error still appears. A refresh of the would show the component has been added though with the component lead field left empty.
Expected Result
JIRA should update and reflect the changes when add is pressed.
New Observation
JIRA creates the component though the component lead failed on the first try
Workaround
- Refresh the page.
- Start typing the component lead's username and select it from the list prompted.
- Update the change.
