Can’t restore JIRA 7 Cloud backup to JIRA 6.4.12 Server

Attempting to restore a backup from JIRA Cloud (latest version: 7.0.0-OD-08) to JIRA 6.4.12 throws the following error.

The file you are trying to import is from JIRA 7.0.0-OD-08-001, which is newer than your current version of JIRA and will not work. The import file claims it can be successfully imported into JIRA 6.4.12 or later.
If JIRA 6.4.12 is not yet available for download, please contact support.

Steps to Reproduce

Expected Results

The error should be updated to read that it can be successfully imported into JIRA 7.0

Actual Results

The error is thrown and the user cannot proceed.

Notes

The import was working last week Oct 8th prior to the JIRA 7 features being released into the Cloud environment.

Workaround

Import the data into JIRA 7.0
