Error rendering 'com.atlassian.jira.jira-view-issue-plugin:attachment module' when attaching libarchive zip files

When attaching an archive file that has been created using a libarchive based application, and attach it to a JIRA Issue, the following error occurs in the Attachments module:

Error rendering 'com.atlassian.jira.jira-view-issue-plugin:attachmentmodule'. Please contact your JIRA administrators.

The error occurs anytime the file is added to the issue (either during creation or view).

Workaround:
Rearchive the file using another utility, or click the down arrow in the attachments area and go to "Manage Attachments". The file can be accessed successfully from this area.
