    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

BlackBerry Z10 uses the Webkit rendering engine and should be compatible with the implementation of JIRA Mobile.

It should be added to list of user agents that automatically redirect to the mobile web views.

As a workaround, you can explicitly navigate to the mobile web view using your browser:

      JIRA Base URL/plugins/servlet/mobile

[JRASERVER-32726] Support JIRA Mobile on BlackBerry Z10

Looks like obsolete request since BlackBerry is not supporting OS anymore (https://www.blackberry.com/us/en/support/devices/end-of-life)

FWIW the viewport tag causing the email problem (discussed by Brendan, Richard and Datta) seems to come from atlassian-jira/WEB-INF/classes/templates/email/html/includes/header.vm:11:

                <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=1.0"/>

Commenting or removing this line (and restarting Jira) results in emails displaying nicely on my BlackBerry Bold 9900. (They had previously been blank, as the others have described.)

Datta, I recommend opening a new ticket, and including the OS version of your BlackBerry - it's BlackBerry 10, but what version?

HTML emails look fine on my Q10, running 10.3.1.

We are having issue with showing emails from JIRA in HTML.

Blackberry only shows the email header and no details <Blank Body>

            Thank you,

This is fixed in a minute if only a developer would take a look. :-/

As already mentioned, just add the browser user agent to be recognized for the mobile site.

BlackBerry 10 has it's own user agent which you could easily add to be detected.

Please reference this BlackBerry material for how to detect the BlackBerry 10 browser for mobile:

The email browser for blackberry, unlike the web browser, doesn't support the viewport tag. The way to make emails render both on blackberry and on outlook is to remove the viewport element from the meta element in the email header.

Tested in crucible (which had the same problem), waiting for a safe time to restart jira to re-test on JIRA.

Looks like this needs to be forked - the email issue is likely different from the JIRA mobile one.

Getting tons of emails, only slightly readable if you say "Get Plain Text".

JIRA is mostly used at enterprises, so is Blackberry. We use both as well. I find it important to support BB as a mobile device. Please implement it.

Please also provide email support for other Blackberry devices. Since JIRA 6.1, emails received on a Blackberry Curve are not readable with HTML. The mail displays as blank.

By supporting the Z10, make sure you're supporting the BlackBerry 10 browser in general.

            Hello,
In addition to the above points - please support the Blackberry browser.
There was this project http://home.pocketjira.com ... I would buy it immediately but it does not support the newer versions of JIRA.
As for the business requirement: As a release manager I am spending much time running through the building while different teams work on issues and problems. I need to be able to transition tickets while I am on the go. Unfortunately, Iphones, Androides and the kind are not allowed in the company network for standardization and security reasons.
            Cheers & best,
            Andreas
