ScreenshotApplet throws ClassNotFoundException (com.atlassian.jira.screenshot.applet.ScreehshotApplet.class)

      Cause

      • ScreenshotApplet throws ClassNotFoundException (com.atlassian.jira.screenshot.applet.ScreehshotApplet.class) for some users
      • The following screenshot shows that users bump into the problem when try to attach a screenshot using the AttachScreenshotApplet. Attaching files directly works for them.
      • This occurs when you have Java 7 installed in the browser such as Mozilla Firefox or even Microsoft Internet Explorer

      Workaround

      • Switch to Java 6 and clear off the browser cache
