      NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      At the moment it's difficult for users to retire an issue type that they no longer use. There's no direct option for this, customers believe that they will either have to delete the issue type completely or try a round about way by using workflows. This could be a great feature if customers want to keep legacy data.
