Add custom field type "user or group"

Details

    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

    Description

      It would be beneficial to have a custom field type user or group. You could input a JIRA username or groupname and have a link created to the user information.

      Filters could then be setup similarly as for reported by and assignee fields.

      We would use this for custom fields like: Originally Reported by or Request taken by (if reported by could be edited by the user, see JRA-761)
