Currently, JIRA offers two options for navigator columns. There is a default version of the navigator columns that every user will see, and there is an ability for an individual user to override those column choices.

When you have many different JIRA projects being used for different internal processes, the columns that are important for a particular project can vary greatly. This is especially true when a project introduces special custom fields which are necessary for understanding the state of issues in that project.

It would be nice if an administrator could set the default navigator columns that a user should use for searching through a given project.
