At the moment this field tries to be really smart during the creation of the createHtml and editHtml. These methods are pretty much unusable for displaying the issueTypeSystemField anywhere else.

Ran into this during Issue to sub-task conversion when I needed to display a list of Issue Types from the same project. Resorted to manually creating select list.

Some problems -

• The way it decides whether it is a sub task
• The way it gets its options
• The html created expects a parent issue type field
