Summary
Currently, large Jira instances may encounter an "Unknown error occurred" message.
These are exports that run for > 3 days before encountering an error.
The data size can vary but may be > 1 TB
Workaround
Atlassian Support needs to investigate and determine the stage where the error occurred. If it is due to a hard limit, the limit can be lifted to allow the export to continue processing and complete successfully
Suggestion
Jira should automatically remove hard limits if they need to be exceeded based on the size of Jira data
