Summary: Enhance Jira Advanced Roadmaps capacity planning to support that the issues in the board be filtered out easily. Having a filter in the exclusion rules would be helpful, however it is currently not possible to implement one.
Description: Currently, Jira Advanced Roadmaps provides robust tools for planning and managing capacity sprints more effectively in the Jira Plan.
To include sprint durations and progress in the timeline view for the sprints labeled with "EXT." we need to unlock the capacity planning features for this sprint by adding the board where the sprint resides as an issue source for his plan.
But after he added the board to the source, each board has many issues that are irrelevant to the plan are managing. How can these issues be filtered out easily?
We can set an exclusion rule to remove issues based on certain criteria. However, the exclusion rules won’t help in this case, as the options are limited to status or issue type only. and having a filter in the exclusion rules would be helpful, it is currently not possible to implement one.
The user wants to focus on about 50 to 60 issues out of the 2,000 issues in the source, which includes many sprints when grouped by Sprint in the plan. Right now, the process to filter these issues is very manual and cumbersome, as the filter is located at the top of the plan.
