Align the sprint commitment in the backlog's insight with the boards filter

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

Today the sprint commitment in the backlog's insight works with only sprints created in that board, while the Velocity Chart is based on the board's filter (and the sprints don't need to be created on that board). That difference may cause confusion in planning future sprints.

The suggestion is to make the sprint commitment in the backlog's insight work with the board's filter, like the velocity chart.

We are working with 1 sprint for the entire company , we need sprint insight to work based on boards filter otherwise we can't use it.

Plus I think that this feature aim was to enable team to track better on their commitment and plan their sprint correctly ... and this can`t be achieve unless data will based on filter (same as rest reports on boards are working)

            Thank you

We have turned off the Backlog Insights for all of our teams.  This means every two weeks we have to manually calculate our velocity. We were pretty excited to see the Backlog Insights feature when it first appeared.  It made sprint planning go smoother since the velocity was right there to reference.  We look forward to seeing this suggestion implemented so we can turn it back on again.
