Updates of estimates in JIRA should flow back into Portfolio

Updates of estimates in JIRA should flow back into Portfolio and update its estimate whilst keeping the original estimate as the “Originally Planned”.

@Fabrizio Thanks Fabrizio - we are using Portfolio for Cloud but it looks like the reported issue has only been fixed for Server Instances. The only auto-sync options available to me are as follows:

Implemented a new "auto-sync" option for estimates, please see details here on what it does and does not sync: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAPortfolioServer/Synchronization+Settings

Generally, this is and potentially remains a tricky topic as long as the Portfolio schedule is not "live" but from a given start date. If we'd just sync back the remaining effort any time it changes, we'd gradually reduce the scope while still looking at the same plan start date, thus this remains part of the Plan > Update from date functionality. however, editing the story point estimate, or in case of time the original estimate, can now be synced back instantly if the option is turned on.

I believe this is must-have functionality, but it should be implemented along with an option to turn it on/off, since it allows individual developers updating the estimate on their issue to change the roadmap/schedule displayed in Portfolio. Some teams will want that, some won't. The toggle for this could perhaps be combined with the 'dynamic/fixed' schedule option which already exists, since that's basically what this boils down to.
