As PjM, I'd like to customise panels in plan mode so that I can add and display necessary links/tags easily during meetings.

Currently, there are only Versions and Epics on the panel. It would be nice if I could customise them by adding any fields I need.

In my team, we want to quickly add and display Epics and Components during meetings. Referring the links/tag on the plan mode, it helps to skim all stories in the backlog without opening details views or use "Search issues" feature, and quickly identify a story we are looking for.

I've got a solution for You

We've created a concept of User Filters to support planning sessions.
Just create set of predefined filters for each backlog or board and during the meeting load filters on the fly.

The filters are personalised so a PM or ScrumMaster will not mess up the board with plenty of Quick Filters

as matiss said... would be nice to get rid of the "priority" field since the whole point with only having ONE rank across the whole JIRA installation kinda serves to cover a need like that

This is the main competitive disadvantage of JIRA against a product like Rally. I can customize card colors, but this feature, while I understand it probably requires multiple levels of DB changes, it really helps define the backlog to a more granular degree.

I also understand your Project Plugin on Server helps, but that also is not available in cloud.

This would go a LONG way to improving the product.

I just saw that mjopson just updated this item saying that Attlasian is aware of this issue but indicates that there is no ETA with regards to if this will even be added, let alone when it would be added if it were going to be added.

Is there anything other than getting more users to vote on this issue that would allow us to at least get an answer with relation to the if question?

This is currently holding us back from rolling JIRA out to all developers. Because some of us are using Epics for small amounts of work and others for Components so each plan in our own way. But this is not sustainable if we want to incorporate standards. We need both Epics and Components as separate panels.

Since Atlassian pushes Components as a sort of Sub-Project, I really think this should pop up in the priority stack, please.

We would like to display the labels in the plan view, as we have more than one theme running. As it doesn't appear possible, we are resorting to putting the themes in the issue title, rather than having them as proper labels. This isn't great for searching etc.
It would make our experience of Jira a lot better if we could display the labels in the scrum board planning view, for issues displayed in the Sprint and Backlog list.

Same as by @Svein Seldal, we are looking for this feature in our company, 500 users license.

This is a highly sought out feature for our company (250 licenses). We tend to use epics as components and grouping mechanism because of its ability to filter out the backlog view. This is unfortunate as it severely clutters the intended scrum-usage of Epics. The quick filter bar also has limited space, and require a rather high degree of maintenance since you'd need to update it manually, so it does not really cover the same use case.

Atlassian, please consider this option as this is important to us.
