User customization for batched email notifications

      Currently, some email notifications are not batched. For instance, critical updates (such as when you are mentioned or an issue is assigned to you) are always sent immediately. The suggestion is to have an option and let the users decide which email notifications should be batched.

            Because users do not have the choice of grouping @ mention emails with the other Jira issue update emails that go out from the same Jira issue, we have had complaint from some business users that they are getting two emails about the same Jira issue received in their Outlook inbox at the same point in time. They would like to have the option to group @ mention emails in with the other Issue updates to help cut down on amount of emails (noise) they are receiving from the Jira system.
