      Email notification from Jira with custom domain introduced extra special characters in To field e.g. To: "//John Doe//"

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Use custom domain for Jira notifications.

      Expected Results

      No extra characters.

      Actual Results

      Extra characters introduced even there's no such character in the users' full name in Atlassian account.

      Workaround

      Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
