Issue Summary
We replicated a user’s scenario in a test instance with the "Notify my own changes" preference enabled. After modifying a field in a ticket with no association (not a watcher, reporter, or assignee), the expected email notification was not received. This behavior suggests that the notification system is not functioning correctly under these conditions.
Steps to Reproduce
- Enable the option "You make changes to issues" from your personal notifications settings
- Enable all the rest of the notifications options
- Modifying a field, comment, etc, in a ticket with no association (not a watcher, reporter, or assignee),
Expected Results
Based on the preferences set the user should receive an email notification
Actual Results
The expected email notification was not received
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
