Import Error caused by mismatch in json encoding

      Summary

      Generating Jira Server export and importing to Jira Cloud fails with the follow error:

      Error importing data: com.google.gson.JsonSyntaxException: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Expected BEGIN_OBJECT but was STRING at line 1 column 2 path $]

       

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a backup in Jira Server 
      2. Import backup into Cloud 

      Expected Result

      • Import is successful

      Actual Result

      Import fails with the following error. 

      Error importing data: com.google.gson.JsonSyntaxException: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Expected BEGIN_OBJECT but was STRING at line 1 column 2 path $]

      Note: The error could be only seen from the logs
       

      More Information

      • It potentially affects the instance easier if the backup file is taken from Jira Server that just recently import from Jira Cloud
      • The issue occurs if there are local only dashboard items on the server instance. Such items do not have the <replace-gadget-spec-uri> element in their module descriptor.
