      Problem definition:

Popup notifications in Jira do not go away on their own.

      Suggested Solution:

Popup notifications should go away on their own without the need to press the X in the notification box.

      Why is this important:

Adds an unnecessary step for the customer to close a notification.

      Workaround:

Manually close the notification by pressing X in the notification box.

Great - just updated our DataCenter to latest LTS and also won this price. Looks like we have to live with this annoying new feature when even cloud version isn't fixed yet

I would like to understand why these popups were put there in the first place. Who thought it would be helpful to see a Popup, that doesn't' auto disappear, ever time you created a work item.

I feel like someone thought it was a good idea, I just can't figure out why they thought it was a good idea. Or how no one on in the planning asked, "You know, some people may find this useless and annoying. Maybe we should add a disable?"

            +1

These pop-ups are incredibly annoying when you're adding hundreds of new items. Imagine if Excel sent you a message every time you entered a new row to the spreadsheet!

Please can you add the ability to turn these off.

Who do you guys user test with? This feature is so annoying. Please allow us to disable the pop-ups and/or have them automatically disappear without forcing to click each one closed or refresh the page.

And also just to be sure: we pay A LOT of money each month which enables you to totally rehaul the user interface but still you cannot make the toasts go away automatically?

            Just to clarify:

            • We cannot disable or prevent the popups from showing up

            &

            • The popups will not go away on their own

            Is this right?

Still not fixed? We need this.

I am suggesting for a setting that can be configured by a user if they want to have the toast notification shown or not, how many seconds until the toast notification disappears automatically, etc.

It seemed like the problem was solved and the pop-ups disappeared by themselves for a while. Now the function has disappeared again and the very annoying pop-ups stay on the site and are in the way. I already tried switching back to the old issue transition experience as mentioned in another ticket but that did not help.

Please either have the pop-ups disappear again on their own or add a possibility to opt out on them altogether!

Is it me, or did they finally listen?
